Are your trainers experienced?

Absolutely they are!

Firstly, all of our PRINCE2 trainers have been accredited by PEOPLECERT (one of the PRINCE2 accreditation bodies) to ensure they have the appropriate PRINCE2 and/or project management experience.

Secondly, we only employ trainers who have plenty of real-world project management experience AND are good at training. When we select our trainers, we choose only those who have a passion for PRINCE2 and helping others to learn.

Where are your PRINCE2 courses held?

Currently, we hold all our public PRINCE2 training courses at our main location in Dubai. The address is 4th C/D Wing, Dubai Silicon Oasis Headquarters Building, PO Box 341041, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai.

What's included in the price?

Everything except your lunch! For the PRINCE2 course, this means your exam fees and sample exams are included, alongside our superb course materials and pre-course study materials. If you’ve selected either a classroom Foundation OR Foundation & Practitioner PRINCE2 course, you’ll receive the official PRINCE2 manual. You also have unlimited tea, coffee, water and biscuits and free Wi-Fi.

Is there homework?

You can expect to spend about 2 hours completing homework during each evening on our PRINCE2 courses. The homework consists of revision and practising sample exams. Sometimes students opt to spend more time this.

What is the pre-course reading?

You’ll be asked to study the pre-course material consisting of a few short lessons available via our eLearning platform. It will take you between 3-4 hours to read this before coming to the course.

When do I get the official manual?

For the PRINCE2 courses which include a manual, you’ll be given a copy on the first morning of the course along with all other course materials you need.

I use a wheelchair. Can I get access to an exam venue?

This depends upon the venue. Please call us to check whether wheelchair access is provided.

How long does it take to get my exam results?

Your trainer will mark your PRINCE2 Foundation exams during class, and will usually give you your score within half an hour of the exam finishing. For the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam, your paper will be electronically scanned for same-day results.

I have trouble writing for long periods due to a medical condition. What can I do?

Talk to us beforehand about any existing medical condition which you may have. We can contact the accreditation body to ask their advice on whether extra time can be given in the exam. For example, if you are dyslexic and have a certificate from a doctor, extra exam time can be given. It’s always best to discuss this with us before you book your course.

Can you deliver this course onsite at my company's premises?

Yes. All of our PRINCE2 courses are available as in-house training. Please call us and speak with our representatives to discuss the pricing.

Do you offer discounts for group bookings?

Maybe. It’s best to discuss your training needs with one of our representatives to discuss what we can do.

What kind of person attends your PRINCE2 training?

Every course is different. We get people coming who work in many different types of companies, industries and roles, both from the public and private sectors. In today’s economy, we often get students who are out of work who want to develop new skills for their CV.

On a typical classroom course, there’s usually a good mix of men and women, and being in Dubai, it’s not unusual to have one or two students who have travelled from abroad to one of our PRINCE2 courses. There’s almost certainly more than one nationality represented within a typical class.

What time do your courses begin?

All PRINCE2 courses start at 9:30am each morning and usually continue until either 4:15 or 4:30pm. If you want further details, please call us.

How long do courses last for?

The time taken is 3 days for PRINC2 Foundation and a further 2 days for Practitioner including the exam time. PRINCE2 Re-registration courses last 2 days.

If you choose the most popular PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner course, this lasts for 5 days.

Does the course include exams?

Your PRINCE2 Foundation course comes with the one hour Foundation exam which is taken on the 2nd day of the course. Your Practitioner exam is a 2.5 hour exam which is taken on the last day of either a Practitioner course, or a combined Foundation & Practitioner course. Your Re-registration exam is a one hour exam taken on the final day of the Re-registration course.

When will I get my certificate?

If you pass the PRINCE2 exam your certificate will be available for download about 3 working days from the date of your exam.

I have no experience of programme management. Is this course the right course for me?

Yes. The PRINCE2 Foundation course is the entry-level PRINCE2 qualification and PRINCE2 Practitioner is the higher-level qualification. We get a lot of students on both courses without any previous project management experience. Both courses will offer you a good understanding of PRINCE2. The Practitioner course, however, focuses more on applying the framework, and so is better if you are seeking a career move into project management.

Both qualifications look great on your CV and, especially in the UK, you’ll find these qualifications highly demanded by employers.

Are there any prerequisites for the course?

For the PRINCE2 Foundation course there are no prerequisites. If you want to sit the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam, then you must have already passed the Foundation exam. For the PRINCE2 Re-registration exam, you must already have previously passed the Practitioner exam.

How long does the qualification last?

PRINCE2 certificates never expire. However, you are only able to call yourself a registered PRINCE2 Practitioner for 5 years after taking (and passing) the Practitioner exam. After that period, if you want to continue to call yourself a registered PRINCE2 Practitioner, then you must sit a short Re-registration examination.

Will this qualification help me to get a job?

In many countries, especially in the UK and Europe, more and more employers are looking for candidates with PRINCE2 certification. Without certification, you’ll be at a disadvantage compared to candidates who have the certification.

Are there any example exam questions?

Yes – as part of your pre-course study and homework you will be given access to 2 full sample Foundation and 2 full sample Practitioner/Re-registration exam papers.

How well known is the PRINCE2 project management methodology?

PRINCE2 is extensively used in the UK both in the public and private sectors. It is also popular in other countries around the world, especially in Europe and Australia. PRINCE2 is growing fastest however in India.

What's the difference between the Foundation and Practitioner examinations?

Both exams are multiple choice exams. The Foundation exam lasts for 1 hour, and it test candidates on the terminology and concepts of the PRINCE2 methodology. The Practitioner exam lasts for 2.5 hours, but has different styles of multiple choice question, and tests candidates on their ability to apply the method to a particular project scenario.

The format of the Re-registration exam is similar to the Practitioner exam, except it’s only 1 hours long, rather than 2.5 hours long.

How many people have taken examinations?

In total, more than 1.4 million examinations have been taken worldwide since 1996. Of these, almost half were taken in the UK.

Are the exams difficult?

The Foundation exam is more straightforward than the Practitioner exam. The latter requires you not only to understand the methodology, but also to apply it to a specific project scenario.

Thorough exam preparation is a crucial part of all our PRINCE2 training. Of the people who attend our courses, 99% pass the Foundation exam and around 83% pass the Practitioner exam. 97% pass the Re-registration exams.

What are your PRINCE2 exam pass rates?

Since 2012, for students who attended our PRINCE2 Foundation course, the pass rate was more than 99%. For students who attended our 4.5 day Foundation & Practitioner courses, we achieved a pass rate of 83% in the Practitioner exams. This compares with a national average pass rate for all training providers of 73%. Our Re-registration exam students obtained a pass rate of 97%.

What type of projects can PRINCE2 be used on?

PRINCE2 is a generic framework so you can use it on any type of project.

Is PRINCE2 useful for charity sector employees, as well as those in the public/private sectors?

Yes - employees from many charity organizations attend PRINCE2 training, indicating that they use it for their projects. Don’t forget that PRINCE2 is a generic project management framework and as such, is appropriate for any kind of project, including those within charities.
